I run technology development at the Ludwig Institute, a program that supports all aspects of scientific, clinical and business development required to build additional validation into Ludwig’s scientific discoveries. Enhancing or de-risking Ludwig’s inventions in this way leads to greater opportunities for partnership and ultimately ensures further development of our most promising technologies. Establishing collaborative and licensing relationships with not-for-profit or commercial partners is a critical process in moving Ludwig technologies into the clinic where they might benefit cancer patients. I have completed numerous partnering transactions with biopharma companies, including several Ludwig start-up biotechnology companies that I have been instrumental in establishing, to develop different Ludwig technologies. I am also the Deputy Director of the Ludwig San Diego Branch. I received a PhD in Immunology from University College London and completed further research at the University of Virginia and the University of Oxford.
